Death Penalty for Miami?

Back in 1986, SMU was hit by the NCAA with what has now become known as the "death penalty."

Take a look at this investigative piece from Yahoo! sports and tell me that Miami might not be on a similar track.

With the tectonic plates beginning to rumble again and a Realignmageddon Redux on the horizon, the ACC might need to dump Miami and move boldly toward the future.

  1. Poor Al Golden.

He deserves a topshelf coaching gig and now he has to deal with this garbage.

  2. I kind of doubt that they will get the death penalty. After the SMU incident the NCAA said that it would never do that to a program again and took the "death penalty" off the table. I do, however, think that the entire administration stands a good chance of being cleaned out. I agree with pierce that it is unfortunate for Al Golden and the timing of all this.
