There's a lot to digest here. One thing that immediately catches my attention: The ACC needs to seriously prepare itself for the possibility of losing its four southernmost schools -- Florida State, Miami, Clemson, and Georgia Tech.
Would there be enough good scraps left in the Big East for an ACC/Big East merger to keep the two conferences afloat as one combined, totally new entity?

Would we be happy if this is something like what our SUPERCONFERENCE ends up looking like?
The basketball would still be fairly strong, but this would be a very watered-down football conference.
Ugh.
This could be a bumpy ride for Virginia and its fans.
