Alright folks, here's our first attempt at recording a podcast. If folks want, we're definitely excited to turn this into a regular thing. Keep in mind we're the farthest thing from professionals, so the technical aspects might be a little rough around the edges. However, this being Wahooze, you can expect some honest criticism, desperate optimism, and attempts at humor.
Enjoy! Leave comments here - hopefully some of what we say sparks some conversation...don't be shy.

WEEKLY WAHNOOZE, Episode 1:
Podcast Powered By Podbean
We'll be archiving our podcasts on another site that we'll link to in the future, but current ones will be hosted on this podbean account (if it works well).
Note from Kendall: We received anonymous feedback (look to your right) to do a podcast less than a week ago. Now here it is! We listen to what you tell us, people! Use that anonymous feedback link!
Also -- My sincerest thanks to Pierce for making this happen, and for dragging me kicking and screaming into the world of podcasts. This was a blast to do! Can't wait for the next one! Exclamation point!
more please, loved every second
ReplyDeleteThis was awesome. I can't decide if these will be better if we win or lose. I assuming the post-oregon podcast will be a Kendall hate volcano.
ReplyDeleteCool addition guys. Makes it easy to consume Wahooze at work - with a headset on, no one bothers you. Minimize the screen and you even look like you are being productive. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLoved the podcast great job guys!!! I like rivals.com and check it almost daily but I think we put too much of a emphasis on 5 star and 4 star recruits. Some of the best players that have come out of UVA and turned pros. were not high caliber recruits. It's all about coaching in football unlike basketball. All I'm saying here is If coach London can't win at least 8 games with this group he has to go.
ReplyDeleteHey Joe, Thanks for listening!
DeleteI agree with what you are saying when it comes to coaching. However I do think that the development of players falls more at the feet of the individual offensive and defensive coaching staffs. I think the changes made in the offseason are representative of that fact. The previous staff was brought in to bring in the talent to make the program successful, while this staff is here to coach it up and make it great.
I don't want to say that this was the plan all along, but it certainly seems perfectly timed to me. I think we'll see a significant improvement in execution on both sides of the ball this season, and really see it pay off in 2014.
We'll be addressing London's job security throughout the year, but I think it's a general consensus amongst us that, barring a disaster, London will be safe for this year.
When can I download this on iTunes?
ReplyDeleteCould do that pretty easily I think, but we'll have them up on archive.org (which wont limit downloads/space) soon.
DeleteMe likey ... nice to put a voice to the faces of some of the guys in the WLB.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it - we'll definitely be putting them out once a week
DeleteThis is awesome! Thanks guys. Is there an RSS feed that I can point my podcast app at? Legit work guys
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteFor now, the feed is: http://wahooze.podbean.com/feed/
But this will almost certainly change if we run out of the free hosting space. Depending on the archiving ability of another site though, we might store old ones on archive.org and always post the up to date ones on this feed - so we'll see how it works.
Added! Looking forward to the next cast. Especially after that ... interesting win over BYU. But hell, I'll take an ugly win over an ugly loss any time.
DeleteStu, I'd say a win over a defense as good as BYU's is usually going to be ugly... especially when you factor in the delay and the wet weather.
DeleteBesides, beggars can't be choosers.
I need a short podcast of The Angry Bear to use after every victory.
ReplyDeletePlease do more!!!
ReplyDeleteFreaking awesome. Thanks for doing this guys. Can't wait for more!
ReplyDeleteIf you guys fail to continue doing these during baseball season I'm going to come back and strangle someone.
