Last week provided little in the way of intrigue, as most of the games were laughers. We all blew it thinking the Pack was ready for the limelight - their performance against Tennessee was completely embarrassing. Shame on you, NCState. Shame. And shame on Mike for being behind a game in the standings already. Shame. Of course, his bold William & Mary pick almost worked out for him...

This weeks guest picker is Mike's girlfried Keely. Before you go moaning Keely does actually know what she is talking about. Keely has been brainwashed to be an avid Notre Dame fan by her father who attended Notre Dame while they were winning National Championships with Lou Holtz. While initially this may seem like a character flaw there is a tremendous silver lining, and that is that Keely allows Mike to watch sports whenever he wants. Sweet! She also loves her whiskey, which is a stance everyone on this blog agrees with. Let's get to it.

Kendall: BC showed me a little bit in their shootout against Miami.  Maine poses no threat to an ACC team.

Mike: Looked surprisingly not awful last week.

Keely: Let them get their wins in before Notre Dame comes calling.

Mike: Austin Peay revolutionized the Tennessee DOT, I assume with the intention to some day have his university go get its ass kicked by Virginia Tech.

Pierce: The cute thing this week in the media has been to say "The Hokies won't let this game be another JMU." Yeah, no shit.

Keely: Why is this allowed?

Kendall: Another snoozer for FSU.  That Brandon Jenkins injury is a big one, though.

Mike: 3 Wahooze writers seek 8 other guys to play FSU for $400,000 pay day.

Pierce: OkieState, followed by FSU? Every other scholarship athlete at Savannah State owes their football team an ice cream for the money they're bringing in this season.

Kendall: GT licks its wounds by stomping the Blue Hose.

Mike: Where do they find these schools?

Pierce: I'm hoping for another bounce pass from Presbyterian.

Kendall:  I already called it: Hoos 24, Penn State 16.  That's us not beating the spread.  Also, I'd warn against overreacting to the Nits' loss to Ohio.  The Bobcats are GOOD.

Mike: We'll win. Nits are still talented though.

Pierce: I feel like we won't cover the spread, so we probably will.

Keely: Can't pick against UVA.

Ball St. @ Clemson (-27)

Cardinals: Pierce

Tigers: Kendall, Mike, Keely

Kendall: 27 is a huge spread, but Clemson will be looking to flex nuts right now.

Mike: Nate Davis is not walking through that door.

Pierce: Spread's gotta be too big.

Keely: Mike tells me David Letterman went to Ball State, so at least they have that.

UNC (-8) @ Wake Forest

Tarheels: Kendall, Pierce, Keely

Deacs: Mike

Kendall: Wake can't keep up with the Fedora offense, and the Deacs' poor o-line will leave them sputtering on offense against UNC's superior athletes.

Mike: UNCheat needs to start sucking, the universe is out of balance.

Pierce: Wake really sucked last week. Maybe not as bad as Elon, but I don't see them keeping it close.

Keely: Yeahbuddy!

Miami @ Kansas St (-7)

Pierce: EVERY MAN A WILDCAT, Y'ALL.

Keely: Kansas State plays carrying a tremendous burden of living in Kansas, tough to overcome.

Maryland @ Temple (-10.5)

Kendall: Maryland soooooooooooks.

Mike: Love everything about Temple laying 10 and a half. Maryland sucks.

Pierce: Haha, this just gets better and better. 

Keely: Maryland is just terrible.

Pack: Everyone

Kendall: You burned me once, Pack.  Don't do it again.

Mike: Gift.

Pierce: Rebound game. Must win.

Keely: Keely's Dad once big-timed Mike Glennon at the State Championship game at Scott Stadium. Irrelevant to the pick, but he did get to use the phrase "Kid I handled professional athletes, you will do what I say."

Tiger Woods: Everyone

Kendall: Duke is riding high after blowing out FIU.  Time to crash back to earth.

Mike: I'll also take the over on Stanford commits flipping to UVA at 1.5 please.

Pierce: Road trip fail.

Keely: Willing to go to Stanford (-30).
